The
Irish Dance Teacher's Association of North American is proud of the accomplishments of all dancers not only
competitively and artistically, but also academically. To
recognize the accomplishments of these dancers who excel in the
classroom and in the dance studio, the IDTANA is proud to offer
$20,000 annually in scholarships for high school senior students, and
those students who are already attending college and applications for
the 2012 Scholarships will be available in September, 2011.
Scholarships are open to:
(a)
for high school seniors graduating in Spring, 2012 and planning to
attend a four-year undergraduate college or university, and
(b) for students
enrolled in a four-year undergraduate college program who will still
be enrolled as an undergraduate in a four-year undergraduate college
or university during the 12-13 school year.
The instructions and guidelines for filing an
application for the 2012 IDTANA Scholarship are now
available.

The IDTANA
Scholarship
Committee is comprised of a representative from each of the seven
regions in North America. Under the guidance of Russell Beaton
ADCRG,
who is beginning his thirty-eighth year with the Frederick County
(Maryland) Public School System where he is the Curriculum
Specialist for Visual and Performing Arts - the IDTANA Scholarship Committee
works diligently in identifying the scholarship recipients from the
application and essay process.
